Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance

Students working together on a project

As part of the Office for Civil Rights Compliance and Prevention Education (CRCPE), the Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance Office (EEO) supports the university’s compliance with federal federal and state nondiscrimination and employment laws and policies. The office:

  • Promotes equal employment opportunity for individuals throughout the employment process.
  • Manages internal and external compliance reports.
  • Educates university colleges and business units about regulations and guidelines pertaining to equal opportunity employment.

Virginia Tech is committed to the concept and practice of equal opportunity in all facets of employment. For more information, read University Policy No. 1025: Policy on Harassment, Discrimination, and Sexual Assault. For questions about the EEO team, visit the frequently asked questions page.

Nondiscrimination Planning

The university takes proactive steps to ensure equal employment opportunities for covered veterans and individuals with disabilities. Personnel processes and recruiting efforts are continuously evaluated and analyzed in order to develop action-oriented programs to succeed in our efforts.
